The Introductory EA Program

Each semester, we run The Introductory EA Program: a 5-week program that introduces the key ideas of Effective Altruism.
Together with a small group of like-minded people, you’ll learn new concepts, frameworks and ideas to help you increase your positive impact on the world. Guided by a facilitator, you’ll explore how you can make the biggest impact with your career, time, donations and other projects! The program is best suited for those who are new to EA ideas and want to learn more.
AI-alignment course

The AI Alignment course is designed to introduce the key concepts in AI safety and alignment, and will give participants space to engage with, evaluate and debate these ideas. Participants can meet others who are excited to help mitigate risks from future AI systems, and explore opportunities for their next steps in the field.
The contents will be technical so we recommend this course for AI-students/alumni. If you doubt this program is for you, feel free to contact us at info@eaamsterdam.com
The EA in-depth program

Next year we also offer the In-Depth EA Program: an 6-week journey into the core ideas and open questions within Effective Altruism.
In a small group setting, you’ll dive deeper into advanced concepts, discuss thought-provoking topics, and explore how these ideas can shape your career, donations, and long-term impact. With the guidance of an experienced facilitator, you’ll engage in meaningful discussions and build lasting connections with others who care deeply about making a difference.
This program is ideal for those familiar with EA who want to explore its ideas on a deeper level and tackle the challenges of doing the most good
EA Virtual Programs
If you’re unable to join a program in-person, or interested in which other programs are out there: you could check out EA Virtual Programs! They offer a similar Introductory EA Program, as well as an In-Depth Program and a reading group of the book The Precipice.
EA Netherlands also offers an introductory program.
